Taylor Swift has solidified her place as one of the biggest singers in the world, with the first leg of her Eras tour generating over $2.2 billion in ticket sales. Since then, it has only amplified her influence and strengthened her audience across the world. The spotlight has now turned to her personal life – specifically her highly publicized relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelce.

Taylor Spotted at Chiefs Games

Since Swift and Kelce’s relationship went public, Swift has been spotted at 12 Chief’s games, drawing significant attention from fans and media alike. Even the NFL has embraced the connection, frequently highlighting the couple in social media posts and her attendance at games. While streaming, it was reported that the cameras cut to Taylor exactly 17 times in one game, likely to draw in fans, better known as “Swifties”, to watch NFL broadcasts.

Super Bowl LVIII

The Kansas City Chiefs are set to return to the Super Bowl this year on February 11th, marking their first appearance since 2021. Despite her demanding schedule, Swift’s appearances at games have been consistent. Fans are wondering if, and how, she will be getting to the big game. The night before the Super Bowl, Swift will be in Japan the night before. Fans are so dedicated to this relationship that some have calculated if she can make it in time to Las Vegas by 4:30pm MT the next day. If her February 10th concert starts at 6pm Japan Standard Time, its a tight race against the clock.

When Does it Become Too Much?

The NFL has been working to grow their female engagement level for years, and since Swift and Kelce’s relationship, creating organic content around this relationship has been working. Kansas City Chief’s merchandise sales have gone up a very large amount, specifically Kelce’s jersey by a whopping 400%. At what point is too much, though? Are females genuinely becoming more interested in the NFL or just want to follow recent happenings in Swift’s life? How long will this phenomenon last? While nothing is certain when it comes to strategy, it’s believed that the NFL will capitalize on this for as long as they can.
