The chapter is a part of multiple events on campus throughout the academic year where members have the opportunity to network and learn more about the Marketing and Advertising Club. Members for the American Marketing Association (AMA) UNH Chapter will also have the opportunity to attend exclusive events and field trips to network and learn more about the marketing industry.

Digitas Boston Tour

AMA Members had the exciting opportunity to take a field trip to Digitas North America’s headquarters in Boston. The chapter toured the office space and gained valuable insights into Digitas’ dynamic brand and workplace culture. A panel discussion followed the door featuring UNH alumni who shared their career journeys from graduation to agency life. The firsthand perspective provided advice and inspiration, opening ideas of digital marketing agency life.

AMA Boston Marketing Mingle

AMA Boston hosted a dynamic networking event at the AC Hotel, where our chapter had the opportunity to connect with industry professionals, fellow AMA members, and other chapters, including the Marketing Association of Plymouth State (MAPS). The Marketing Mingle provided a relaxed environment for students to expand their professional networks and gain valuable insights into the marketing world.

L.L. Bean Bootmobile at UNH

The chapter works to create a marketing plan for the L.L. Bean College Tour and pop-up shop each fall semester. The members develop marketing strategies and implement them on social media to encourage participation and attendance.

University Day, or UDay, is a UNH tradition that brings Durham community members together. Community members, college freshman, and transfer students get to learn about the hundreds of clubs we have at UNH. IBM Watson Tour

For the past two years, MAC members have had the opportunity to visit IBM Watson, located in Cambridge, MA. Members got a tour of the facility and got to ask questions to a panel of recent grads who work at IBM in marketing, sales, and event roles. Attendees also got an overview of IBM’s security cyber range and had the opportunity to attend experiences in the Watson Experience Center. The Client Engagement Leader took the members through the simulation in the Immersion Room and the Wall of Professionals.

Empowering Women: Shattering the Glass Ceiling Event

The event began with a panel of 6 distinguished female leaders where they all spoke about their experiences and shared war stories. The audience gained incredible insight into the impressive careers and experienced our panelists have had. We walked away feeling empowered and excited to make a difference and tackle the gender bias in our upcoming careers. The audience had a chance to ask questions, and following the Q&A session, networking took place in the Skybox Lounge with appetizers and refreshments. Overall it was a fantastic event, and we are so excited it was such a success with over 100 attendees. The panelists included:
