Introduction
The UNH AMA Chapter is hosting its annual Marketing Week from October 17th to the 23rd. The campus-wide series features interactive events, professional networking, and fundraisers to get students connected and involved. Here is a breakdown of what to expect and exciting events to take part in.
What Is Marketing Week?
Marketing Week is a week-long event that is put on by AMA every year. It consists of seven events throughout the week of October 17th through October 23rd, including professional development, community service, and fundraising for our team. Marketing Week focuses on showing everyone, from students and faculty to industry pros, what AMA has to offer!
What Are the Events?
Cornhole Game At Tailgate
On October 17th, kick off the week with some fun competition at the Family Weekend tailgate. Stop by to play a round of cornhole, hang out with fellow students, family, and friends, and have the chance to win fun prizes.
Headshot Fundraiser
On October 19th, there are two exciting events going on. The first one is a headshot fundraiser. Come to Paul College to upgrade your LinkedIn profile and professional resume with a high-quality photo. For $10, students can drop in to get polished, professional headshots taken by student photographers. There will also be an opportunity to donate to the Chapter at the top of the great hall stairs.
Boo Baskets
The second event on October 19th is a volunteer opportunity that will happen in Paul College 135. We will be assembling fall-themed Boo Baskets to donate to a local hospital in York, Maine. This event is open to all AMA Chapter and MAC club members. This is a great opportunity to give back to the community and connect with other Chapter members!
Stonewall Kitchen Tour
On October 20th, the members of AMA will be going to the Stonewall Kitchen in York, Maine, to get a tour of their facilities, corporate office, meet with their brand manager, and participate in marketing workshops. This is a great opportunity to see behind the scenes of what it takes to run a company and learn about their marketing strategies.
AMA Competition With Vital Design
On October 21st, the AMA Chapter will be having a members-only competition with Vital, our sponsor for the year. This Chapter competition is preparation for our conference at the end of the week and the conference in the spring. There will also be an opportunity to network with the employees of Vital.
Alumni Headshot Fundraiser
On October 22nd, at Tideline Public House in Durham, NH, there will be another opportunity to refresh professional headshots for UNH alumni. This fundraiser offers high-quality headshots while giving alumni and current members a chance to connect.
Fall Regional AMA Conference at Emerson College
To close the week, on October 23rd, the AMA Chapter will be traveling to Emerson College for a regional conference. This conference provides many professional development and networking opportunities, as well as practice as we prepare to compete at the AMA Intercollegiate Conference in the spring.
Closing Thoughts
Marketing Week is a fantastic opportunity to build your professional network, develop new skills, and give back to the community. Whether you’re stopping by for a professional headshot, competing in a game, or volunteering your time, there are plenty of ways to get involved from October 17th through the 23rd. We look forward to seeing you at Paul College and across campus throughout the week!
